Inspired by the old movie, and song, "Singin' in the rain" starring Gene Kelly.

This cute little bear from the "Beary Rainy Day" stamp set by Lawn Fawn is a perfect match for the movie/song, and I just had to create a card with him for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge #145 - Inspired by book, movie or song.

Today I don't feel like doing anything.....

 Hi,

It's not as bad as the title implies, it's just my card inspiration for today.
The current theme for the AAA Cards challenge is - 

Inspired by a movie/song/book

I often get inspired by music, especially the lyrics, it doesn't even have to be the whole song sometimes it can be just a line/ sentence in the song. Like for this card, I was inspired by the first sentence of the lyrics to the "Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars.

The sentiment on this card reads "Today I'll do nothing. I did that yesterday too, but I didn't finish" (free translation). Sentiment stamp from the stamp set "Snorkigt #7" by hÄnglar&Wings goes so well with the "A.M. Dee #737" by Aall&Create.

Baa Baa Black Sheep/ Bä Bä Vita Lamm

 Hello,

and happy monday and new week to you!

Today I'm sharing a card inspired by the old nursery rhyme/ childrens song "Baa baa black sheep/ Bä bä vita lamm" and the current challenge - "Inspired by a movie/song/book" at AAA Cards.

It's so difficult to colour black critters, all their features are just lost.

Well, well I did my best and that is good enough, I can't do more than that.....right?

Easter Egg card surprise

 Hi,

Today I've played with the adorable stamp set "Påskhare" by hÄnglar & Wings.

This is such a cute stamp set, and so versatile too. You can use it on scrapbook layouts, in journals, on cards or as I've done here - on its own, with the cutes little surprise inside.

ATC - Visible Image March Swap "Spring Greens"

 Hi Friends,

My ATC and card for my swap partner for the Visible Image March ATC swap has arrived safely in Germany. The theme for the month of March was - 

Spring Greens

Here's my ATC and Card

This is such a fun challange and I'm so glad I found it.
I'm new to ATC so I'm still finding my way, but I absolutely love it!

It's so fun to create these little pieces of art, and I do enjoy creating matching cards to go with the ATC (this is not mandatory). All stamps. dies and stencils used must be by Visible Image. 

For this ATC I started by ink blending the card using Distress Oxides, I then placed a stencil on top my card and ink blended through it. I went through my VI stamp set (I haven't got so many yet, but as long as you have one set you can make an ATC) and picked out some stamps to use. I stamped my images using different shades of green Distress Oxides.

For the card I have used the same stamp sets and Distress Oxides, but not the stencil. The big "Swirl" on the left side of the card (looking at it) is the same stamp I used on the right hand side of the ATC (so the swirly part is outside of the ATC).

Stamp sets: "Tomorrow Doesn't Exist", "Grunge Flourish", "Life is Beautiful" and "Daisy Grunge" 
Stencil: "Entwined Butterflies"

Distress Oxides

AAA Cards Challenge 236 - Inspired by a movie/ song/ book

It's time for a new CAS card challenge over at AAA Cards,
and this time the theme of the challenge was picked by me, so I hope you like it! The theme is:
 
Inspired by a Movie (TV show), Song or a Book.


This is my take (or should I say one of my takes) of the challenge

 I often find inspiration in music, mostly from the lyrics which probably stems from years of singing and learning the lyrics to numerous songs. For this card I have found inspiration from the lyrics in a song in one of my favourite movies growing up.

I stamped and heat embossed some silhouette flowers and grasses, before ink blending along the edge of my card. I splattered some water on the inked part of the card and added a word die (Grattis/ Congrats).

AAA Birthday Game #47 - Stripes and/or Dots

 Hi Crafty Friends;

It's the 1st of March and time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday.
Stripes and/or Dots is the theme of the month.

Here's my take on the challenge

As you can see I've gone with Stripes, and I was inspired by the diagonal stripes on the cue card (see below). I've used scraps of cardstock that I cut into equally thick strips. I glued the strips onto a white panel before cutting it out with a stitched rectangle die. I also die cut my sentiment out of white cardstock, twice. The two sentiments were glued together to make it stand out from the background a little better. I adhered the panel to my card base and added the sequins. Love it when I get to use up some old scraps.

Dies: Outside In Stitched Rectangle Dies by Lawn Fawn, "Hip Hip Hooray" by Gummiapan
