AAA Cards Challenge 247 - Sketch for a teen card

Hello,

Ready for a new CAS card challenge? 
I hope so as today is the start of a new challenge at AAA Cards,
and this fortnight the theme is a

Sketch for a teen card

please see the challenge card further down.


Here's my take on the challenge

To create my card I started by creating  two stencils, one of a basketball player and one of a basketball. I ink the basketball player through the stencil using some black ink and masked him of before ink blending the two basketballs to go behind him.

ATC - Visible Image July swap "The Holiday Season"

 Hello Everyone,

Today I'm sharing my ATC and accompanying card for the July ATC swap at Visible Image. The theme for the swap was

The Holiday Season

"The holiday season" didn't have to be interpreted as the Christmas season, it could also be interpreted as the summer holiday season, or a mix of both.

Here's what I came up with

My swap partner for the month of July lives in Australia, and I'm sure Santa takes off his big boots and dips his toes in the water when visiting down. Spending time on the water (sailing) or by the sea is a must for me during our summer holidays. I love the sea, and have just come back from a few weeks of sailing.

AAA Cards Challenge 246 - Sketch + optional twist A Baby card

 Good Morning/Evening,

It's time for a new CAS Card challenge at AAA Cards,
and this fortnight we have a

sketch

for you, please see the challenge card further down.
 There is an optional twist of a Baby card, but as said it's optional.

Here's my take on the challenge

I decided to skip the optional twist since I have no need for a baby card at the moment. I have some people close to me who are/will be making changes in their lives, which can be a bit scary, so I decided to create a card of encouragement instead. I stamped and heat embossed some cute little butterflies in a rainbow of colours. I also stamped and heat embossed the sentiment "without change there would be no butterflies". A quick and easy, clean and simple, CAS, card.

AAA Birthday Game #52 - Anything Birthday Goes

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's the 1st of August and time for a new fun challenge at AAA Birthday,
and the theme of the month is

Anything Birthday Goes 


and here's my take

Ohh, this theme was a bit tricky. I had a hundred ideas, but didn't know which one to go with. In the end I thought why not go with something I love, I love peonies and I love clean and simple cards, CAS cards, and all of a sudden it was easy. I stamped and heat embossed this beautiful peony on a card panel. To colour the flower I have used Lunar Paste that I diluted with water to create a shiny watercolour. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, and mounted the panel on a piece of black cardstock before adhering it to the card front. The shine on the flower looks really pretty in real life.
