AAA Colourful - colourboard #33

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It's the 15th of October and time for a new colourboard challenge over at AAA Colourful challenges. This month we have a board of  -

Autumnal colours

or at least I think so, for you to be inspired by. The colours of the board (please see below) must be the most prominent on your creation, but you may add neutrals like black, greys, browns, white and skin colours. Remember we love all kinds of paper craft projects - scrapbook spreads, art journaling pages, ATCs, cards, tags........ and in any style and technique too.

Here's my take on the board

When I saw the colourboard I knew straight away that I wanted to use this cute stamp set by hÄnglar&Wings, a company that has sadly decided to close down. Here's how I created my ATC's;

I started by stamping and colouring the cute little girls and boys on my ATCs. For two of them, I did some paper piecing for their clothes. I amasked off two of the images and stamped a basket filled with leaves to go behind them. Falling leaves were added to all the cards. Inspired by the look of bark on the challenge card, I dry embossed and coloured a background frame for my ATCs; this also added some texture to the cards. To finish, I added the word "autumn" to all four cards, but in a different language on each one.

Products used for these ATCs
Stamp sets:
"Lönn" and "Klackalfabet" both by hÄnglar&Wings, "Lots of Letters" by Mama Elephant and "Höst" by You Do
Markers: Copic sketch and ciao
Embossing Folder: 3D texture fades "Lumber" by Tim Holtz/Sizzix
Inks: Distress Oxide ink and Distress ink both in "vintage photo" by Tim Holtz/Ranger
Papers: scraps from my stash of Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper pads

Now it's your turn. How are you inspired by the colours of the board? I do hope you'll play along as I, and the rest of the design team, can't wait to see what you come up with. You have until the 14th of November to create, upload and link your project to the AAA Colourful challenge blog, a blog filled with amazing inspiration by the DT and our special guest designer for the month, Stephanie L. Stephanie's creation is beautiful!

AAA Birthday Card challenge #90

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It's the first of the month and time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday Cards, and for the month of October the theme is -

Big and Bold

and here's my interpretation

I love sunflowers, and inspired by the photo on the challenge card (see below) I created a big and bold sunflower in bold colours for my birthday card. I started by die cutting the pieces for the flower and leaves, coloured and assembled them into the finished bloom. Next, I die cut the greeting "Grattis" (congrats in Swedish), which is short for "Grattis på födelsedagen" (Happy Birthday), I cut it twice and glued the layers together to give the text a bit more dimention. Once all the parts were ready, I created a background by cutting and ink blending a panel before assembling everything. My big and bold birthday card was done!

Products used for this card
Die sets: "Blossom" by Tim Holtz/Sizzix, "Grattis" by Gummiapan
Inks: Distress Oxide inks by Tim Holtz/Ranger

I hope you are inspired to play along with us in this fun challenge. We are so looking forward to seeing your BIG and BOLD Birthday Cards! You have until the 31st of October to create, upload and link your card to the AAA Birthday Card challenge blog.
