Art journal page in complementary colours

 Hi,
Today I've been playing with complementary colours in my art journal
inspired by the spring cybercrop at Pyssloteket and
Utmaning 3 - Tettiz komplimentfärger

Here I've played with Distress ink, Dylusions ink spray, Distress paint, modeling paste, a stencil, pigment ink, embossing powder and stamps.

I started by ink blending my background in blue, I then stamped and heat embossed the bird on my page. I also stamped and heat embossed a second bird which I fussy cut before spraying it with dylusions ink spray in orange. While the bird was drying I grabbed a stencil and some modeling paste and added that to my page. I adhered the orange bird on top of the stamped bird on my page, added some splatters in dark blue distress paint and my stamped and heat embossed sentiment.

Products used
Stamp set: "
Life is Beautiful" by Visible Image
Distress ink: "Broken China" by Tim Holtz/ Ranger
Distress paint: "Uncharted mariner" by Tim Holtz/ Ranger
Dylusions ink spray: "squeezed orange" by Dyan Reaveley/ Ranger
Modeling Paste: by Panduro
Stencil: "Create Happiness KSTDL64" by Vicky Papaionnou/ Stamperia
Pigment ink: VersaFine Clair "Nocturne" by Tsukineko
Embossing Powder: "Clear Gloss regular" by WOW!

I'm still very new at art journaling, and I must admit I'm struggling a bit. I think I'm overthinking the process, but I'm slowly learning to let go and to go with the flow. So challenges like this one is perfect for me as they get me out of my comfort zone, and I am fully enjoying playing and learning about different mediums.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, I truly appreciate it!

Take care, keep crafting and have fun!

CAS card in pink

 Hello,

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the cybercrop at Pyssloteket,
inspired by Åsa's challenge

Utmaning 5 - En enkel CAS

Did you know that the name "Åsa" rhymes with the word for "pink" in Swedish? Åsa - rosa (pink).  Pink is also Åsa's favourite colour, and she is a master when it comes to CAS cards, so what better than a CAS card challenge in pink hosted by Åsa?.

For this card I have stenciled some flowers on a card panel, in pink of cause, die cut a greeting out of some dark pink cardstock, adhered it all to a dark pink card base and added a few clear enamel dots. Card all done.

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate you taking the time!

Take care, keep crafting and have fun!

"Jingle all the way"

There where a few criterias for this challenge;

The top tag is made of vellum and stamped and heat embossed  with the same white embossing powder as the middle tag. For my metal decorations I have used a small Christmas tree and a small bell.

"Du är inte riktigt klok...."

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Yesterday we had a lovely sunny day here in the south of Sweden, but today it's grey and rainy. So what better way to spend the day than in the craftroom?

There's a Cyber Crop going on over at Pysslotekets FB,
and one of the challenges is a CAS card sketch challenge, which I couldn't resist.

I stamped and coloured the cute little duck on my card base, ink blended through a stencil and stamped a fun sentiment, and my card was done. Love it when cards come together quickly and easily, especially as I am a slow crafter.

Products used
Stamps:
"Quack the Duck" #135 by Aall & Create, "Ascoola vänner" by hÄnglar & Wings
Stencil: Stencil No 41 by Gummiapan

Guest blogging at Pyssloteket

Hello and Happy Friday,

Today I'm guest blogging at Pyssloteket !
I'm feeling so honoured and happy to have been invited to blog amongst so many talented designers. If you are interested in reading my blog post you can find it here (a little warning: it's looong).

Here's one of the cards I'm sharing on the blog.

I've totally fallen in love with the summer release at Visible Image, and here I've used two of the gorgeous stamps from the stamp set "Daisy Grunge Stamp Set". The beautiful daisy is stamped with VersaMark watermark ink then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The image is coloured using Copic markers. The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, my go to ink pad.

I can highly recommend a visit to Pyssloteket's blog, where you can find so many tips and trix and inspiration by the the amazing Design Team. And while you are there, why not have a look around the shop aswell?, I can garantee you'll find something you "Villhöver" (want/need), and they ship all over the EU which I like.

(I am NOT sponsored in any way by Pyssloteket, or any other company.
It's just one of my favourite shops for craft supplies)

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate you taking the time!

Take care, stay safe and keep crafting!
