Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - June 2026

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It's the 5th of June and time for the Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, and the optional theme for the month June is -

Guys

As usual I have gone with the theme, and this month I made three little tags inspired by the theme, and shirts and ties. I started by die cutting my tags and the ties.

The first tag I made was the one in the middle on the photo above. I cut the tag out of white cardstock and inked it from the edges towards the center of the tag. The tie was die cut out of some patterned paper. A sentiment was stamped and a piece of string added to finish of the tag. Quick and easy, and so fun to make I just had to make another, and another.

The second tag, the one in brown and orange, was made in the same way as the first one, except for being cut out of craft paper and having the greeting hidden underneath the tie.

For the third tag I decided to mix it up a little and cut the tag out of patterned paper and the tie from a single coloured piece of cardstock, and this time I stamped the sentiment on the tie.

All the ties and tags are held together by the strings, allowing the ties to move from side to side and messages to be hidden underneath them.

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - May 2026

 Hello,

It's the 5th of May and time for the Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop, and the optional theme for the month ot May is -

Lacy

As you can see I decided to go with the twist. I started by die cutting two tags out of white cardstock, then I painted the lower half of both of them one in blue and one in pink. On the blue one I added a strip of lace at the top of the painted area. I die cut some flowers and leaves, assembled them and added them to the tag. While I was assebling the blue tag I started wondering what it would look like if I added lace on top of the whole painted area of the tag, and decided to do so on the pink tag. I finished the laced area with a ribbon of small flowers. The top half of the tag felt a bit bare so I run it through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder to give it a lace effect. I die cut and coloured some more flowers and leaves, and added them to the pink tag. Some ribbon where added to both the tags and I called them done.

I hope you like my tags, and that your are inspired to create some of your own. Instagram is filled with lots tags for you to be inspired by by the talended hoppers of the Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop. So why not hop on over, and see who has gone with the optional theme and who hasn't.

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - March 2026

Hello,
It's time for the March Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, and the optional theme for the month is -

Easter

I have created a very simple and easy tag using a stamp and some dies. I started by randomly stamping feathers in a variaty of colours on a sheet of white cardstock. Then I got my tag dies out and cut out a few tags in different sizes. I added a die cut sentiment in black, and black border to make the colours of the feathers pop. Some coloured ribbons where added and my tag was done. The greeting on the tag says "Glad Påsk" which is Swedish for "Happy Easter".

I hope you like my tag, and maybe even get inspired to create some tags of your own.
The Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop is full of fun, beautiful and inspiring tags created by the participants of the hop, so why not head on over to Instagram and hop along with us.

Happy Hopping

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - February 2026

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It's time for a new Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, and for the month of February we have the optional theme of -

Hearts

As you can see I went with the theme, and created not one but three tags with hearts. They are all very different, but I like them all.

For the first tag I had a play with alcohol inks on yupo paper. Once the ink had dried I die cut a tag from the paper, I also die cut the two interlocking hearts and adhered a second plain white tag behind the inked tag. I added one of my favourite quotes and some red ribbon to the tag and called it done.

ca

For the second tag I die cut a tag from some white cardstock, and a heart from a piece of alcohol inked paper. As there are two holes on the heart I added some thread and tied a bow. I partualy die cut a second tag, this time in a black and white strip, to add to the top of the tag to give it some more interest. I placed the heart at the top of the tag and stamped a Valentine's greeting.

My last tag was created using the same heart die as for my second tag, and a tag die that is the same as the one for the second tag but in a much smaller size. This time I simplified it even more. I ink blended the tag using distress inks, I also coloured the string for the tag using the same distress ink. The heart cut from the same paper as on the second tag, got a bow of paper ribbon, before being adhered to the tag. I sentiment was stamped and I called it a day.

I hope you like my tags, and that you are inspired to hop along with us at Gorgeous Gift Tags over at Instagram. Maybe even create some tags of your own, as you can see it doesn't have to be difficult or complicated.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and Happy Hopping over at IG!

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - December 2025

 Hi Friends,

It is time for the December Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, and the optianal theme for the month is -

Christmas

As soon as I saw this adorable angel die I knew I wanted it, and that I was going to create Christmas gift tags with it. I die cut six angels out of patterned paper and white cardstock, three of each. The hearts and edges of the angels were painted in gold, I also splattered some gold on the angels cut from patterned paper. On the white angels I stamped a Christmas greeting, leaving space to write to whom it is for and from. As the angel is not made as a tag die I found a small circle die to make the hole for the ribbon, and turning the angels into tags.

I would like to enter these angel tags to the following challenges:
A Cut Above - Anything goes with a Die Cut
Creative Inspirations - 'Tis the season!

I hope you like my Angel Christmas Tags! Maybe you are even inspired to create some Christmas tags of your own? For more inspiration hop on over to Instagram, which is filled with beautiful tags, and check out who has gone with the theme and who hasn't.

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - November 2025

 Hello,

It is time for another Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, and this months we have the optional theme of -
Vintage Vibes

A theme I found a little bit tricky, but I decided to give it a go. So here are my tags with a vibe of vintage (I think).

When I hear vintage I think of browns and black, so I started by ink blending two tags I had die cut using brown Distress Oxide inks. I was only going to make one tag, but I enjoyed the ink blending so much I ended up making two of them. I splattered some water on the tags to make the ink oxides and give the background some life. I also ink blended through a stencil using the same inks.

On my first tag I added some stamping, and as I for some reason kept thinking of Mary Poppins I decided to add my very own Mary Poppins to my tag. I die cut my Mary and her umbrella for some kraft-stock blackout paper. I then sanded the image to make the kraft paper show through the black, aging/ distressing it a little. I addhered my Mary with her umbrella to the tag and added the sentiment "Live the life you have imagined" and a piece of string

My second tag was a very quick and easy tag as I had already ink blended it. The only thing I added to the tag was a few rub-ons, a flower, a small bee and a greeting. After adding a string my tag was done. Quick and easy, but beautiful I think.

I hope you like my tags, and that you head on over to Instagram and hop along with us. I wonder if everyone has gone with the optional theme, and if not, what have they come up with?

Take care and happy hopping!

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - October 2025

 Hello,

It's the fifth of the month, which means it time for a new Instagram Hop with Gorgeous Gift Tags. The optional theme for the month of October is -

Halloween

My little tag was created using paper scraps and leftovers I had lying on my desk. Yes, I know I am a messy crafter, and it is often chaos in my craftroom when I create (hence the name of this blog and my name on IG).
I had a small piece of card I had ink blended left after another project. I was going to throw it away, but remembered that I have a set of slim tag dies somewhere in my stash. I also had a cute little ghost and bat that I had stamped, die cut and coloured lying on my desk so after die cutting the tag I addhered the ghost and bat to the tag, added some ribbon and stamped a sentiment. A quick and easy little tag using scraps and leftovers. I hope you like it!

Instagram is filled with gorgeous, spooky, fabulous gift tags created by the members of the Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, so hop on over and check out who has gone with the optional theme of Halloween and who hasn't. I know you will find something you'll like, and you might even get inspired to create some tags of your own.

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - August 2025

 Hello,

It's time for the August Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop, and this month there is a fun optional theme for you to be inspired by -

Travel/ Vacation

I am not part of the hop this month as I have already gone traveling, but it is such a fun theme that I just had to create a tag before leaving on holiday/ vacation. I can highly recommend a visit to IG to check out all the fabulous travel/vacation tags in the hop. Just search for "Gorgeous Gift Tags" or even better click here 👉 "purplejetjt" and you will end up at Jane T's, who is the founder and the first stop of the hop.

I knew exactly what kind of gift tag I wanted to create. Unfortunatelly I didn't have the dies for it so I had to inprovise, I think it turned out pretty well. I had so much fun I ended up creating not one but two bon voyage/ luggage tags. I hope you like them!

Here is how I created my tags, and what products I have used. First up the "globe/plane" tag

This little travel themed tag was created using dies by Tim Holtz/ Sizzix and Lawn Fawn. I started by die cutting two tags, one white and one out of kraft cardstock. I ink blended a sky on the white tag using the "mini cloud edge" stencil by MFTstamps. On the kraft tag I die cut a small rectangle to get a "window", like on a luggage tag. I then die cut all the pieces for the globe, the little airplane and arrow, and addhered them together. The glob was glued to the white tag and the kraft tag with its window over that. I used foam tape along the edges as the bottom tag is a bit thicker where the glob is. I curved the sentiment stamp on my stamping block and stamped it on the tag. A ribbon was added as a finishing touch.

Products used for this tag
Dies:
"Vault World Travel - Thinlits dies" and "Tag Collection - Framelits Dies" both by Tim Holtz/ Sizzix,  "Small Dotted Rectangle Stackables" by Lawn Fawn
Stencil: "Mini Cloud Edges" by MFTstamps
Stamp set: "Plane and Simple" by Lawn Fawn
Inks: Distress Oxide Inks by Tim Holtz/ Ranger, VersaFine Clair Nocturne by Tsukineko
Ribbon: from my stash

Next up, we've reached our destionation with the "beach/ destination" tag.

As for the first tag I started by die cutting two tags, one white and one in kraft cardstock, and die cut a "window" in the kraft one. I ink blended the background and splattered it with a little water. After drying it I stamped and coloured a palm tree on the background to create a beachy scene. I addhered the two tags together, and stamped a greeting on it. As a finishing touch I added a pair of flip flops I had die cut and coloured. Only have to add a ribbon before attaching it to my gift.

Products used for this "beachy" tag
Dies:
"Pierced Tag", "Flip Flops" both by Gummiapan, "Small Dotted Rectangle Stackables" by Lawn Fawn
Stencil: "Mini Cloud Edges" by MFTstamps
Stamp set: "Dolphins cocktail" by Laurens Van Gurp/ StudioLignt, "Plane and Simple" by Lawn Fawn
Inks: Distress Oxide Inks by Tim Holtz/ Ranger, VersaFine Clair Nocturne by Tsukineko

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - July 2025

 Hello,

Today we are hopping over at IG, it's the 3rd Gorgeous Gift Tag IG Hop and I have had so much fun creating tags and trying out new techniques, some more successful than others ;) This month we have the optional theme of -

Use a Stencil(s)

I have used two different stencils and two different stenciling techniques on this tag, I don't know if you can see both of the stencils. I started by placing a stencil with "labels" in a variety of sizes on my tag, I sprayed it with Distress spray stains. Unfortunatelly the spray stain got under my stencil in a few places, so I decided to sprits the whole tag with water and let the colours blend. I thought I would loose the "labels" altogether, but they do show through here and there on the tag. I liked how the colours blended but I wanted something more. I got out another stencil and started lifting the ink through it with a baby wipe. I must say I do like the effect. I acctually like it so much I didn't want to cover it up, so I left it as is and only stamped and heat embossed a sentiment on the tag. As I couldn't find a ribbon to match my tag I sprayed a piece of white ribbon with the same spray stains as I used on the tag. I also added a thin white ribbon and my tag was done.

Products used for this tag
Stencils:
"Lace Layering Stencil" and "Labels Layering Stencil" both by Tom Holtz/ Stampers Anonymous
Tag: "Distress Tags - heavyweight tags for mixed media" by Ranger
Sprays: Distress Spray Stains "picked raspberry", "mermaid lagoon" and "squeezed lemonade" by Tim Holtz/ Ranger
Stamp set: "Brighten the World" by Visible Image
Ink: "VersaMark watermark stamp pad" by Tsukineko
Embossing powder: "Opaque Bright White Super Fine" by WOW!
Ribbon: from my stash

I hope you like my tag, and that you head on over to IG to check out all the other beautiful tags in the hop! Maybe you'll be inspired to create your own Gorgeous Gift Tag(s)!

It's the fifth of the month and time for the second Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, and this time we have an optional theme of -

As you can see I decided to go with the theme, and created a tag with cute little flowers.
I started by die cutting my tag out of some kraft cardstock and embossed it using an embossing folder. The flowers and leaves were die cut and assembled. I also cut a banner, on which I stamped and heat embossed a birthday greeting. I added the flowers, leaves and the banner to my tag. As a finishing touch I added some ribbon.

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - May 2025

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Do you like gift tags, and creating them? Then I have some exciting news for you..... today we are launching a new inspiration hop on Instagram - The Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop. A hop filled with gift tags for you to be inspired by. So head on over to Instagram and check it out, and if you are interested in joining the hop there is information on how to do so.

Gift tags are so much fun to create and perfect for almost every occasion, whether it is for a birthday, Christmas or to show you care. They also add a personal touch to a present/gift, which I love. I had so much fun making my gift tag for this first IG hop, I hope you like it!

I love this big, bold and beautiful flower, and even though it spills of the tag I like it. I started by die cutting a tag and the pieces for the flower. Before assembling the flower, and addhering it to the tag I coloured both the tag and the flower pieces using inks. To get the blotchy effect on the flower I splattered it with water. A sentiment and some ribbon was added and my tag was finished.

Products used
Die sets:
"Tag Collection - Thinlits Die" and "Blossom - Thinlits Die" by Tim Holtz/ Sizzix
Inks: Distress Oxide Inks by Tim Holtz/ Ranger

I hope you are inspired to create something of your own, whether it is a gift tag or something else, and that you enjoy the Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop!
