January 2024 ATC swap at Visible Image

 Hi Friends,

My ATC, and accompanying card, for the January ATC swap at Visible Image FB group has arrived at my swap partner's in the UK. The theme for the month of January was -

"Your favourite previous VI ATC swap theme"

and there were so many amazing themes to pick from. At first I was going to go with a theme from last year, my first year taking part in the swaps, but then I started looking at all the previous themes. There were so many themes I was inspired by, but in the end I went with the October 2021 theme "words and pictures". Here's how my card turned out

As you can see I ended up putting my emphasis on "words", VI has so many great word/text stamps. I really stepped out of my comfort zone when creating the cards, and tried ink smooshing, which I find so difficult to get a "good" result with. Here's a picture of the ATC and the accompanying card

AAA Birthday Card challenges Game #58 - Hearts

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It's the 1st of February and time for a new challenge at AAA Birthday Card challenges. The theme for the month, chosen by me this time, is

Hearts

When I first chose the theme I had all these ideas of what I would create, but then when I sat down to make my card they were all gone and I had no idea of what to do. I started going through my stash and found this stamp set with hearts by hÄnglar & Wings. I love this set and decided to create a CAS (clean and simple) birthday card using the beautiful hearts. The actual card took me minutes to make, but the prossess to get there took forever. That's just how it is sometimes, you get struck by "crafters block". The good thing is after making this card it was like the block just lifted and my creativity came back in full swing.

The sentiment on the card reads "Happy Birthday" in Swedish.

A brand new challenge is coming soon.......

 Hi Crafty Friends,

Yes as the title says, there is a brand new challenge coming -

AAA Colourful

AAA Colourful is a monthly challenge all about using colour. On the 15th of every month there will be a new Colourboard for you to be inspired by, the colours on the board should be the most prominent on your creation, but you may also use neutrals like black, white, greys, browns and skin tones. You will have until the 14th of the following month to create, upload and link your colourful creations to the AAA Colourful challenge blog. Cards can be for any occasion, and any style. We would also love to see tags, ATCs, scrapbook pages, journaling pages...... so if you are a papercrafter you are very welcome to join us in all the colourful challenges to come.

The first challenge/colourboard will be up on the 15th of February, and I hope you'll join us as I can't wait to see, and be inspired by, all your colourful creations.

A birthday card for a purple lover

 Hello,

It's been a while since I posted anything here, but today I'm sharing a card I created for a fab lady who loves purple and celebrated her birthday at the beginning of the month.

It's a one layer card. I've stamped the outline of the flowers and leaves, and then using the coordinating stencils coloured the flowers. I stamped the sentiment and added a few enamel dots.

AAA Birthday Card challenges game #57 - Rainbow or Rainbow Colours

and welcome to the first AAA Birthday Card challenge of 2024!
We are starting the year with a colourful theme chosen by Kati - 

Rainbow or Rainbow Colours


Here's my take

A birthday card filled with balloons in a rainbow of colours was the first thing that came to mind when I found out the theme of this challenge. Balloons in a rainbow of colours, can it get more birthday than that?! This card was so quick and easy to make. I started by going through my Distress Oxides and picking out what colours to use, then i ink blended the balloons through a stencil. Unfortunatelly the pictures doesn't make the colours justice. The photo was taken at the darkest time of the year here in Sweden, the month of December. After ink blending the balloons I splattered the card with some water, stamped a birthday greeting and added some clear enamel dots, and my card was done. Easy peasy....

ATC - Visible Image January swap "3 of Something"

 Hello,

Today on the last day of the year I'm sharing the first ATC I created for the Visible Image ATC swap back in January. I didn't get to share the card at the time as my swap partner fell ill before she could create and send me a card. So out of respect for her I never shared my card, but now I've asked Jane T, who is hosting the swaps, if it's ok for me to share my cards on my social media, and she said yes. So here it is My January ATC on the theme  

3 of Something

The three things I picked were; three flowers, three colours and I used three different stamp sets by Visible Image. I also created a card to accompany my ATC. On the ATC I ink blended the background and left the flowers white, so for the card I decided to do the opposite and left the background white and coloured the flowers in the three colours I used for the backgroun on the ATC. Now I'm going to start looking through the themes of previous ATC swaps at the Visible Image FB group as I need an idea for my next ATC, and the theme for the January 2024 swap is "Your Favourite Previous Theme". It's going to be so exciting!

A belated birthday card

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe there's only a few days left of 2023? It's year has gone by so fast.

Today I'm sharing a card I created at the end of the summer this year, but forgot to share with you. It's a belated birthday card for one of my favourite girls, Maja, our granddaughter who turned 10 i July. Maja was on holiday when it was here birthday so we didn't get to celebrate her until sometime after her birthday, hence the belated card. Maja loves horses so I just had to go with this cute little stamp set by hÄnglar & Wings
