AAA Colourful - colourboard #29

 Hello Crafty Friends,
It's the 15th of June and time for a new colourboard challenge over at AAA Birthday, and this month we have a gorgeous board of -

Blues, puplepink/red violet and green

for you to be inspired by. Here is my take on the board

I don't have any purplepink/red violet markers so I couldn't get the exact colour that is on the board. Instead I grabbed the closest colour I have which is more of a lilac colour, and that's ok. Playing along with our challenges you don't have to match the colours exactly, but they should be the most prominent on your creation. Neutrals like black, white, greys, browns and skin tones may be added. We like all kinds of paper craft project like scrapbooking pages, art journaling pages, tags, cards, ATCs...... and in any style too.

To create my ATCs I started by die cutting the cards, which I then coloured using Distress Oxides and a brayer. I stenciled some leaves/vines on my cards. The parts for the butterflies were die cut and coloured before I assembled them. All the butterflies are coloured using the same coloured markers, but to give my ATCs more of a variation I mixed up what parts of the butterflies got what colour. Before adding the butterflies to the cards I added a piece of tread behind each of the butterflies. A quote was added to the cards, and to finish the ATCs I added a black border.

Products used for these ATCs
Die set:
"Nordic Belle Butterfly" by Poppy Stamps
Stencil: "Wedding Vines" by Echo Park
Inks: Distress Oxide inks "tumbled glass", "salty ocean" and Distress ink "mowed lawn" by Tim Holtz/Ranger
Markers: Copic Sketch "V12" and "V15"

I hope you are inspired to play along with us in this colourful challenge! You have until the 14th of July to create, upload and link your creation to the AAA Colourful challenge blog, a blog filled with stunning inspiration by the design team and our special guest designer for this challenge, Arlene (love her dreamy inspiration card). Hope to see you there, and don't forget to spread a little love by visiting Arlene's and the DT members' blogs by clicking their names!

I would like to enter my ATCs to the following challenges that also inspired me;
A Cut Above challenge - ATG with a die cut (second entry)

As You Like It challenge - Favourite Sentiment (and why) - "F. L. Y. first love yourself" (a good reminder for everyone. If you love yourself you will have more love to give to others, and others will love you too).

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - June 2026

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It's the 5th of June and time for the Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, and the optional theme for the month June is -

Guys

As usual I have gone with the theme, and this month I made three little tags inspired by the theme, and shirts and ties. I started by die cutting my tags and the ties.

The first tag I made was the one in the middle on the photo above. I cut the tag out of white cardstock and inked it from the edges towards the center of the tag. The tie was die cut out of some patterned paper. A sentiment was stamped and a piece of string added to finish of the tag. Quick and easy, and so fun to make I just had to make another, and another.

The second tag, the one in brown and orange, was made in the same way as the first one, except for being cut out of craft paper and having the greeting hidden underneath the tie.

For the third tag I decided to mix it up a little and cut the tag out of patterned paper and the tie from a single coloured piece of cardstock, and this time I stamped the sentiment on the tie.

All the ties and tags are held together by the strings, allowing the ties to move from side to side and messages to be hidden underneath them.

Products used for my tags
Patterned papers: all from 6x6 paper pads by Lawn Fawn
Die sets: "Tag Collection Sizzix framelits" by Tim Holtz/ Sizzex and "Slips" by Gummiapan
Inks: Distress Oxide inks by Tim Holtz/ Ranger and VersaFine by Tsukineko
Stamps: Various sets by Lawn Fawn

I hope you like my tags, and that you are inspired to create some of your own.
Instagram is filled with tags by the talented hoppers of the Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop, so why not hop on over and get inspired, and check out who has gone with the optional theme and who hasn't.

Happy Hopping!

I would like to enter my tags to the following challenges
A Cut Above challenge - ATG with a die cut
Creative Moments challenge - Make It Masculine (second entry)
Die Cut Divas challenge - ATG must use a die cut
Inkspirational challenge - For the Guys (second entry)

Take care, keep crafting and have fun!

AAA Birthday Card challenge #86

 Hello,

It's the first of the month and you all know what that means.... the start of a new birthday card challenge over at AAA birthday Card challenges. This month's theme was chosen by our talented DT Carol and the theme for June is -

For Boys

here is my take on the theme

With three sons, and three grandsons, I have made a lot of birthday cards for boys. All of "my" boys have loved robots at one point or another in their lifes so I went with a robot.
I started by stamping the robot on a card panel I had die cut. After I had coloured the robot I placed a stencil over it and carefully inked through it. The panel was adhered to a card base. I stamped my greeting (or should I say the robot's greeting) and added a few clear enamel dots. Card done.

Products used for this card
Stamps: Robot Data by Visible Image
Stencil: Strobes by Visible Image
Markers: Copic sketch and ciao
Ink: Distress Oxide Ink by Tim Holtz/ Ranger

Now it's your turn! You have until the 30th of June to create, upload and link your birthday card to the AAA Birthday card challenge blog, a blog filled with fabulous inspiration by the design team and our special guest designer for this month, Leslie, who has created a awesome card on the theme. So head on over and get inspired, and don't forget to spread a little love whilst you are there 💖

Hope you'll join us!

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges;

Addicted to Stamps and More challenge - birthdays

Aud Sentiments challenge - monochrome and/or birthdays + sentiment
Creative Moments challenge - make it masculine
Classic Design challenge - ATG with the optional twist of anniversary/birthday

Take care, keep crafting and have fun!

AAA Colourful - colourboard #28

Hello Crafty Friends,

A new colourboard challenge is up and running over at AAA Colourful, and this month we want to you to create paper craft projects using the colours -

Purples, Blues and White

A colour combination I found to be very tricky. The challenge inspiration image made me think of space, but I didn't want to go that route. I tried a few different ideas, but nothing felt right...... so I almost gave up. I am still waiting for my creative to come back, it seems to have taken a very long and drawn out break. In the end, I managed to create a simple card, and here it is

The starting point for this card was the peacock which I stamped, die cut and coloured. I know they are more blue and green, but I think purple and blue works just as well. After die cutting my card panel I die cut a heart on it. I placed a piece of cardstock I had embossed behind the heart opening to give it a little more interest. The peacock was placed infront of the heart and I stamped a sentiment. To add some more colour to my card I decided to give the panel a border, that I had ink blended to match the purple of the peacock. The finished panel was attached to a card base and I had a card!

Products used for my card
Stamp set: "
peacock before 'n afters" by Lawn Fawn
Die sets: "peacock before 'n afters", "small dotted rectangle stackables", "outside in stitched heart stackables" all by Lawn Fawn
Embossing Folder: "Vintage Tile 3-D" by Altenew
Inks: Distress Oxide Ink "villainous potion" and "wilted violet" by Tim Holtz/ Ranger
Markers: Copic sketch and ciao

How, and what kind of project, are you inspired to create when you look at the colourboard? We would love it if you share your purple, blue and white paper craft project with us on the AAA colourful colour themed challenge blog. You have until the 14th of June to create, upload and link your colourful project to the challenge blog.

All the information you might need on how to play along can be found on the challenge blog, a blog filled with beautiful and fun projects by the amazing design team for you to be inspired by. So why not head on over and check them out?!

Hope you'll join us!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Embossing (wet or dry) and/or Flowers + Sentiment (the inside of the heart is dry embossed)
Dream Valley Challenge - All Creatures Great and Small
Simply Clean & Simple - CAS optional theme Things That Fly
Unicorn Challenge - Something New (the embossing folder I've used is new)

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - May 2026

 Hello,

It's the 5th of May and time for the Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop, and the optional theme for the month ot May is -

Lacy

As you can see I decided to go with the twist. I started by die cutting two tags out of white cardstock, then I painted the lower half of both of them one in blue and one in pink. On the blue one I added a strip of lace at the top of the painted area. I die cut some flowers and leaves, assembled them and added them to the tag. While I was assebling the blue tag I started wondering what it would look like if I added lace on top of the whole painted area of the tag, and decided to do so on the pink tag. I finished the laced area with a ribbon of small flowers. The top half of the tag felt a bit bare so I run it through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder to give it a lace effect. I die cut and coloured some more flowers and leaves, and added them to the pink tag. Some ribbon where added to both the tags and I called them done.

I hope you like my tags, and that your are inspired to create some of your own. Instagram is filled with lots tags for you to be inspired by by the talended hoppers of the Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop. So why not hop on over, and see who has gone with the optional theme and who hasn't.

Pink, Red, Turqouise, Green and yellow

for you to draw inspiration from. The colours of the board must be the most prominent on your creation, but you may also include neutrals like black, white, greys, browns and skin tones.

My DT-creations for the month, two small tags

You have until the 14th of May to create, upload and link your colourful creation to the AAA Colourful challenge blog. I hope you'll join us!

Want to know how I created my tags, and what products I've used? Then please keep on reading.

I got the cutest little tulip die set in the post the other day, so I just had to use them for this challenge. I started by die cutting and colouring the tulips and the vase. The vase is actually a glas die from a drinks die set, but I think it works very well as a vase. The tulips were arranged as a bouquet and placed in the vase. The vases with their bouquets were addhered to two tags, one which had been dry embossed and "swooshed" with ink. I added a greeting and some ribbon from my stash to the tags and they were done.

Products used for these tags:
Die sets:
"Små Tulpaner D210430" by Gummiapan, "Collectables Cocktails and Mocktails" by Marleen/ Marianne Design, "Stor Tag D201142" by Gummiapan and "Tag Collection Sizzix Framelits" by Tim Holtz/ Sizzix
Embossing Folder: "Cracked" by Tim Holtz/ Sizzix
Inks: Distress Oxide Inks "Vintage Photo" and "Salty Ocean" by Tim Holtz/ Ranger
Markers: Copic sketch and ciao "BG02, BG05, R27, R29, R81, R85, Y08 and YG03"
Stamp sets: "Clear Stamps - English" by InkyWings/ hÄnglar&Wings

I hope you like my tags, and that you are inspired to play along with us in this fun and colourful challenge!

Take care and get colourful

AAA Birthday Card challenge #84

 Hi,
It is the first of April, and time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday Card challenges. This month we have a fun and versatile theme for you, a theme chosen by our talented DT Helen. It is a theme that might help you use up some products you already have in your stash. The theme is -

Use Washi Tape

That's right, we want you to create Birthday Cards using washi tape in some way, shape or form. Here is my take on the theme -

There are so many ways you can use washi tape on a card, and I can't wait to see how you incorperate it on your Birthday card creation!
In need of more inspiration? Fear not, the AAA Birthday Card challenge blog is filled with fun and beautiful ways to use up that washi tape on a card, so click on over and admire the work by the design team and our special guest designer for this challenge, Silke
(her card is beautiful!). Don't forget to click on their names to visit their blogs, and please show them some love!

After seeing all that inspiration I am sure you are raring to have a go at creating your own washi Birthday card. You have until the 30th of April to create, upload and link your creation to the AAA birthday Card challenge blog. Hope to see you there!

If you want to know how I created my card and what products I have used, please continue reading.

Here's how I created my card
After a long and hard think, and going through my stash of washi tape, I decided to create a background using the tape. I started by cutting a panel out of cardstock, I draw a diagonal line on the panel to have as a guideline when I started to stick my washi tape down. After sticking down the tape in the pattern I wanted, which was a little fiddly at first but much easier than I had thought, I gave the washi taped panel a dark blue border before addhering it to a card base. I wanted a shape to add my greeting onto, but had no idea on which shape so I tried out a few different ones before deciding on a circle. I die cut a white circle, and a scolleped circle in dark blue, and glued them together before stamping a circular greeting. The letters in the greeting where coloured using the same colours that's on the washi tape. The "greeting circle" was added to the card using foam squares.

Products used
Washi tape: "Say Cheese Tomorrow At The Park" by Simple Stories
Dies: circle die set and scalloped circle die set, old sets from my stash (do not know the brand)
Stamp set: "reveal wheel circle sentiments" by Lawn Fawn
Markers: Copic sketch and ciao

Take care, keep crafting and have fun!

AAA Colourful - colourboard #26

 Hello,

It's time for the 26th colourbord of AAA Colourful colour themed challenges, and the colours for the month are shades of -

Blue, Beige and White

and here's my take on the colourboard

I am so curious to see how you are inspired by the colours of the board, please see below. Use the colours how you see them and in any way you want. You may add neutral like black, white, greys, browns and skin tones, and you can create any kind of paper craft project you feel like; art journal pages, scrapbooking spreads, ATCs, cards, tags..... and in any style too.

I hope you are inspired to play along with us. You have until the 14th of April to create, upload and link your paper craft creation to the AAA Colourful challenge blog, a blog filled with amazing inspiration by the Design Team and our special guest designer for the month, Trina P
(I love Trina's creation, it is absolutely stunning!).

If you want to know how I created my card and what products I have used please keep reading.

Like last month I had an idea of what I was going to create, but the end result is nothing like what I had envisioned. I wasn't going to make a card and I was not going to include bunnies but here they are two cute little bunnies on a card.

I started by die cutting a white bunny, and coloured his nose, the hearts in his ears and the bow tie. Then I thought he needs a friend, so I cut out another little cutie but this time in kraft paper (which is a bit of a beige colour I think). I coloured the nose and hearts with a beige marker, and the bow using the same blue as I did on the other bunny. I found a scrap piece of beige paper in my stash, which has a spring feel to it and goes well with the colours of the bunnies. I added a navy blue border to the patterned paper and wrapped a piece of string around the papers. I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment on a small banner I had die cut from the same navy paper I used for the border. The banner was glued on top of the string. I added the bunnies using foam tape, and then addhered the panel, also using foam tape, to a card base. I felt something was missing, so I gave the girl bunny a pearl neckless.

Products used
Dies:
"Everyday Sentiment Banners" by Lawn Fawn, Bunny die set from my stash, do not know the brand (lost the packaging)-
Markers: Copic B24 and E53
Papers: Neenah Solar White, scrap from Simple Stories, and navy and black cardstock scraps from my stash
Embellishments: String, half pearls
Embossing powder: WOW! Opaque Bright White Super Fine

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - March 2026

Hello,
It's time for the March Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, and the optional theme for the month is -

Easter

I have created a very simple and easy tag using a stamp and some dies. I started by randomly stamping feathers in a variaty of colours on a sheet of white cardstock. Then I got my tag dies out and cut out a few tags in different sizes. I added a die cut sentiment in black, and black border to make the colours of the feathers pop. Some coloured ribbons where added and my tag was done. The greeting on the tag says "Glad Påsk" which is Swedish for "Happy Easter".

I hope you like my tag, and maybe even get inspired to create some tags of your own.
The Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop is full of fun, beautiful and inspiring tags created by the participants of the hop, so why not head on over to Instagram and hop along with us.

Happy Hopping

AAA Birthday Card challenge #83

 Hello,

How are you today? Ready for a new Birthday card challenge? I hope so! A new challenge is up and running at AAA Birthday Card challenges, and we would love it if you joined in the fun! The theme for the month of March was chosen by our talented DT member Vicki, and the theme is -

Use Die Cuts

For my card I have used die cuts both to build the pattern on my card and for the birthday greeting. I started by die cutting the shapes to build the pattern for my card. I had some paper in different colours left since playing with my alcohol inks so I used that to die cut from. After cutting out all the pieces I mixed the colours up and pieced the shapes together and addhered them to a card panel. To make the panel pop from the card base I wanted to give it a border, but I had used up all my alcohol inked papers. I looked through my scraps and found a piece of paper, on which I had played with Distress sprays and stains, that matched the colours of my pattern pieces so I used thet for the border. The framed panel was addhered to a card base, and the die cut greeting added, and I called it done.

Products used for this card
Die sets:
"Color Block Mini Petals" by Spellbinders and "HB2U D180204" by Gummiapan
Inks: Alcohol Inks by Pentart and Ranger
Paper: Neenah solar white, yupo paper, watercolour paper and Gold Pearl Mirror card.
Sprays: Distress Oxide Spray, Distress Spray Stains and Distress Mica Stains by Tim Holtz/ Ranger

I hope you are inspired to join us in this fun challenge! You have until the 31st of March to create, upload and link you Birthday card to the AAA Birthday Card challenge blog.

All the information on how to play along can be found on the challenge blog, where you will also find lots of cute, fun and beautiful inspiration by the Design Team and our special Guest Designer for the month, Caroline (KISS). Caroline's card is adorable, so don't forget to click on her name to go check it out and give her some love!

ATCs for Ukraine 2026

 Hello crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing four ATCs I created to show my support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.

On the 24th of February, 2022, Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. The attack was a clear violation of the Charter of the United Nations, and is therefore illegal. In addition, the Russian war has resulted in serious war crimes, tens of thousands of deaths, and a terrible humanitarian situation for the civilian population.

Lets stand together and show Ukraine, and the world, that we are still standing by them, and that we don't condone invasions and war by foreign states in any country.

Take care, be brave and don't give up!

AAA Colourful - Colourboard #25

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It is the 15th of February and AAA Colourful colour themed challenges second birthday, Hip Hip Hooray! Can you believe it's been two years since our first challenge? Two years filled with colourful challenges, and today our 25th challenge goes live! So without further ado, here is our 25th colourboard for you to be inspired by

I have to confess, this has been a colourboard I've struggled with. I was staring myself blind looking at the board, to the point that I couldn't see the individual colours. In the end I sat down and broke it up into one colour at a time, and here are the colours I see on this vibrant board -

Purples, Pink, Blues, Green and Yellow

Here's what I came up with

I found the patterned paper in my stash and as it has the colours of the board I thought I'd use it for this challenge. I decided to make a card and chose a very simple design to show of the pattern and the colours. I die cut the paper and the word "hugs", and gave them both a frame in the same purple colour as one of the flowers of the pattern. I glued the word "hugs" to my panel and addhered the framed panel to a card base and my card was made.
To be honest I would not have had anything to show you had I not gone down the road of simplicity. Sometimes when I struggle I just have to scale it down to the bare minimum to be able to create anything. But... maybe I should at least have added a few enamel dots, and maybe I sholud have chosen a different colour for the card base ...

Now I am very curious to see how you are inspired by the colourboard, and what you will be creating..... maybe an art journal page or a scrapbooking spread or some ATCs...... well what ever you feel like and decide on I can't wait to see your creation, nor can my DT colleauges.

You have until the 14th of March to create, upload and link your paper craft project to the AAA Colourful challenge blog. The blog is filled with cute inspiration by the design team and our special guest designer for this challenge, Arlene (her card is so cute!). Don't forget to click on their names to visit their blogs, and show them some love. On the blog you can also find all the information you need on how to play along with our fun and colourful challenges. Hope you will join us!

Take care, keep crafting and get colourful!

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - February 2026

 Hello Crafty Friends,

It's time for a new Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, and for the month of February we have the optional theme of -

Hearts

As you can see I went with the theme, and created not one but three tags with hearts. They are all very different, but I like them all.

For the first tag I had a play with alcohol inks on yupo paper. Once the ink had dried I die cut a tag from the paper, I also die cut the two interlocking hearts and adhered a second plain white tag behind the inked tag. I added one of my favourite quotes and some red ribbon to the tag and called it done.

ca

For the second tag I die cut a tag from some white cardstock, and a heart from a piece of alcohol inked paper. As there are two holes on the heart I added some thread and tied a bow. I partualy die cut a second tag, this time in a black and white strip, to add to the top of the tag to give it some more interest. I placed the heart at the top of the tag and stamped a Valentine's greeting.

My last tag was created using the same heart die as for my second tag, and a tag die that is the same as the one for the second tag but in a much smaller size. This time I simplified it even more. I ink blended the tag using distress inks, I also coloured the string for the tag using the same distress ink. The heart cut from the same paper as on the second tag, got a bow of paper ribbon, before being adhered to the tag. I sentiment was stamped and I called it a day.

I hope you like my tags, and that you are inspired to hop along with us at Gorgeous Gift Tags over at Instagram. Maybe even create some tags of your own, as you can see it doesn't have to be difficult or complicated.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and Happy Hopping over at IG!

AAA Birthday Card challenge #82

 Hello Crafty friends,

It's the first of February and time for a new challenge over at AAA Birthday Card challenges. The theme for the month was choosen by our talented design team member, Janine, and the theme is -

Slimline

Here is my take on the challenge

I hope you like my slimline Birthday card and that you are inspired to join us in this fun challenge. You have until the 28th of february to create, upload and link your slimline Birthday Card to the AAA Birthday Card challenges blog. We can't wait to see your slimline creations!

The Design Team and our special guest designer for the month, Cathy R (love her card!), have filled the challenge blog with fun, cute and beautiful slimline cards for you to be inspired by, so head on over and get inspired! Don't forget to click on their names to visit their blogs, and show them some love.
All the information you might need on how to play along with the AAA Birthday Card challenges can also be found on the challenge blog. Hope you'll join us!

Here's a little about my card and how I created it.
I hardly ever create slimline cards, and to be honest I don't know why, it's such a fun size to play with. I decided to go with a mini slimline card, using scraps, for this challenge.
I started by cutting my card panel and dry embossing it. I also cut the pieces for the flowers and the "string". I assembled the flowers and arranged them on the panel before gluing them in place. I placed the "string" on top of the "bouquet" and added a die cut circle in white, on which I had stamped my birthday greeting. The finished panel was addhered to a card base and my mini slimline was done.

Products used
Embossing Folder: Luxurious Motifs by Altenew
Die sets: Sealed Blooms Etched Dies and Sealed Twine Etched Dies both by Spellbinders
Stamps set: Simply Celebrate Critters by Lawn Fawn

AAA Colourful - Colourboard #24

Hello Crafty Friends,
It is time for the first colourboard challenge of 2026 over at AAA Colourful, and this month we have a lovely board in pink and white for you to draw inspiration from.

As soon as I saw the colours I knew exactly what I was going to create, a page in my art journal with a ballerina in pink and with lots of sparkle. Here is the end result....

Not a ballerina in sight and no art journaling either, what happened?
I blame the weather!😉With January came winter and snow, lots of snow. Every day I wake up there is more snow, so somehow my balleria turned into snowmen and my art journal page into ATCs.

I started by ink smooshing distress ink onto a sheet of watercolour paper, using three different shades of pink. Then I got my stencils out, found one with snowflakes, and some texture paste. After the paste had dried I cut the sheet of paper into four ATC sized pieces. I die cut all the parts for my snowmen, and coloured them before piecing the snowmen together. I went through my stamps and found winter/snow related sentiments, which I stamped and heat embossed on white cardstock. On one of the cards I have used a Swedish sentiment that reads "Snöflingor är kyssar från himlen/ Snowflakes are kisses from heaven". The sentiments where cut into word strips, at least most of them, and glued to the cards as were the snowmen. I hope you like my ATCs, and that you are inspired to join us in this colourful challenge!

The AAA Colourful challenge blog is filled with beautiful, fun and cute inspiration created by the talented design team and our special guest designer for the month, Patricia. Patricia's creation is beautiful, so head on over and show her, and the DT, some love.

All the information on how to play along with our challenges can also be found on the challenge blog. Best of all, we love all kinds of paper craft projects and in all styles too, so feel free to create whatever takes your fancy. Just remember the colours of the board must be the most prominent on your creation. You have until the 14th of february to create, upload and link your project to the challenge blog. My Creative Chaos 2026

Welcome to my Creative Chaos 2026!

2026 is the year I hope to get my mojo back, it got lost somewhere along the way during the second half of 2025. I am hoping to be able to spend as much time as possible in my craftroom, maybe even dedicate one day a week to crafting. I want to play with paint, ink, dies, stamps, paper..... and try new techniques and styles when creating cards, ATCs, scrapbook pages, PL spreads, art journal pages...... Well, anything that takes my fancy!

So welcome 2026,
may it be a year of peace, love, happiness, good health and lots of creativity (and sailing)!
