Guest Designer - Just Us Girls - #848 Die Week

 Hello Crafty Friends,

I am honoured and thrilled to have been asked to guest design for Just Us Girls (JUGS) challenges during the month of November.  At JUGS there is a challenge schedule that is followed every month, and this week is -

Die Week: and the theme is Acorns

Acorns - yikes! Do I even have an acorn die? That was my first thought when I found out this week's theme. But then I looked through my dies, and realised I do have an acorn die, a small one that is part of a wreath die set. So fear not if you don't have a specific acorn die set, have a look through your dies and you might have one as part of another set - just as I do.

I started by die cutting and colouring a bunch of acorns and a few leaves. Next, I die cut and coloured a wreath of leaves, and arranged my acorns and an extra leaf on the wreath. A panel of white cardstock was cut and dry embossed. I placed the wreath on the panel; however since the wreath die cut a circular opening in the centre, I couldn't stamp my sentiment directly onto the embossed background. Instead, I stamped my sentiment onto the circular piece left over from the wreath and inserted it back into the opening. I addhered the panel to a card base, and placed a fallen acorn at the bottom of the panel. I also added a falling leaf in the circle of my wreath.
