Hi,
Taking a year out before going to Uni to go travelling requires a "Bon Voyage" card. 15 destinations on the travel plan. For the last "destination" I (selfishly) picked "home" as I want them to come back home and not settle somewhere else in the world.
I die cut 30 signs, two sets of "poles", the grass and the stone out of some cardstock, craft for the signs and pole and white for the grass and stone. Then I started ink blending my pieces for the signs, a darker piece to give the signs some depth and a lighter one for the top part of the signs. To get a woody effect on the signs I lightly dragged an ink pad over the signs. I stamped the destinations on the signs and assembled them. The die set "only" comes with six signs and a shorter pole, so I had to elongate the pole by placing one pole above the other. Before addhering the pole and the signs to my card front I added some blue to the background with a little Distress Oxide. I put the pole and signs together, and added some grass and a stone, coloured with Distress Inks, around the base of the pole. I gave the card panel a border and addhered it to my card base. Added a greeting and the card was done.
I really like how this card turned out. I very seldome create slimline cards, but with the pole being so tall I had no other option but to make a tall card. And as I said I really like how it turned out!
Take care, keep crafting and have fun!
Jane
