You are a pocket full of sunshine!

 Hipp Hipp Hooray!
Today we are wishing Kit a Happy 4th Birthday!

As we can't celebrate with him until Saturday I can't show you his card,
so instead I'm sharing a card I made in support of the people of Ukraine.

The cute girl on the card is by Stamping Bella - Long Stemmed Oddball, and the sentiment is by Gina K Design - Sunflower stamp set for Ukraine. The stamped image is coloured with Copic markers. I had a little mishap when colouring the dress. As the two blue markers I was using was a little to far in colour I decided to mix them by touching the darker marker's tip with the lighter marker's to create an inbetween colour. It worked okay, but all of a sudden I got little blue splatters on my card. At first I was convinced the card was ruined, but then I decided to make it work. So I added more splatters to make it look intentional, problem solved!

 Hipp Hipp Hurra för sötaste Folke som fyller fyra idag!

One of my favourite little cuties is turning four today, and as he has always loved cars and vehicles that's the theme for his birthday card this year.

All the little cars and signs are by Lawn Fawn, stamp and die sets Village Heroes and Happy Village, so is the background paper and the alpha stamps, Smitty's ABCs and Violet's ABCs. The four I have cut out using my Silhouette.

I have used my Altenew embossing folder "Daisies" ink blended with Distress Oxides for sunflowers.

Such a beautiful reminder I think we all need to hear once in a while.

The circle on the card is ink blended using Distress Oxides by Tim Holtz and Ranger. The stamped flowers are by MFTstamps, "Flower Silhouettes" and the sentiment from a stamp set called "Vintermix" by hÄnglar & Wings.

A very quick and easy little CAS card inspired by the current challenge at AAA Cards Challenge.

Thinking of you

Today I have made a very quick and easy little bookmark in the shape of a tag. The gorgeous sunflower on the tag is digital stamp by Gina K Designs. The stamp set was created to raise money to help with the crisis in Ukraine, and all proceeds from the sale of the set are donated by Gina K Designs.

Grattis

 A Birthday card for a little cutie who's turning two years old.

In Sweden the childrens channel on TV, Barnkanalen, have a Dragon "Draken" as a host, and he dances a special dance with children. He is really adorable and all children love him, so he was a given on this card, and so was a little magical unicorn. 

The rainbow sky is ink blended with Distress Oxide and a cloud stencil. The cute little dragon and the adorable unicorn are both by Lawn Fawn. The critters are coloured using Copic markers. The Birthday girls name and age are stamped on vellum, with one of my favourite alphabets "Smitty's ABCs". As a finishing touch I've added som sparkle to the sky. You can't have a magical rainbow sky without a little sparkle!

AAA Birthday Game #35 - Under the Sea

Hello, and happy Monday to you!

Today is the first Monday of March which means time for a new challenge at

AAA Birthday 

My first challenge as a Design Team member, I'm so excited! 

The theme for this challenge is - Under the Sea.

Here's my take on the challenge:

I've stamped and masked of my images, Marine Friends by Mama Elephant, and the cardfront, before ink blending my strip of sea using Distress Oxides; salty ocean, peacock feathers and cracked pistachio. For the sunrays I have used a stencil, Ray of Light by MFT Stamps, and ink blended over my already ink blended sea. The images are coloured with Copic markes and the sentiment stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. As a finishing touch I used some transparent enamel dots.

A lot of people suffer from mental illness and many of them never get the support they need, let alone a card when they are ill (being a nurse, having worked in a mental health hospital, I've seen this too often). So I've made a card to show the recipient that I am there when/if he or she needs me.

As I haven't really been updating the blog since the begining of the year, I thought I would share some of the cards and projects I've been working on this year over the next few days. First out is a card celebrating "Kramens Dag/ The day of the hug", January 21st.

These little critters by Lawn Fawn are so cute, don't you think?! Due to covid, and all the restrictions, I decided to send hugs from a distance.

The sky is ink blended using Distress Ink - Prize ribbon, and a cloud stencil. The sunflowers, the banner and the sentiment are all by Lawn Fawn. I've used the stamps and die sets; Happy Harvest, Dandy Day, Simple Wavy Banners and Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables.
