AAA Colourful colour themed challenges - Colourboard #22

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe we are already halfway through November? Time is really flying! Being the 15th of the month means it is time for a new colour themed challenge over at AAA Colourful, and do we have a beautiful and classic colour palette for you to be inspired by! The colours of the November colourboard are -

Red, White and Gold

The first thing that came to mind was, Christmas, the colours are perfect for Christmas cards, tags.... well anything Christmas related. They are also perfect for a million other occasions, and I am sure your imagination is far more vivide than mine.

You are free to create for any occasion you want, and whatever kind of paper craft project you feel like, and in any style too. The only thing you have to remember is to have fun and that the colours of the board have to be the most prominent. You may add neutrals like; black, greys, browns, skin tones. So join in the fun and show us how you are inspired by the colourboard. You have until December 14th to create, upload and link your colourful creation to the AAA Colourful challenge blog.

Here is a little about my card, how I created it and what products I have used.
I started by die cutting my poinsettia, in white and in shiny gold. I popped out all the petals from both poinsettias. The white ones I coloured using my Copic makers, and then put them back in their place of the white poinsettia. The gold petals I put aside for another time. I added the gold outline and leaves on top of the "white" poinsettia and glued them together creating a beautiful flower in red and gold.
Then it was time for the actual card. I started by stamping and heat embossing the background using a lovely background stamp filled with Christmas related words. I cut it to size, added a red border to it and addhered it to a card base I had already prepared.
I then added my poinsettia to the card, and at this time I decided to add a vellum border to my flower before addhering it to the card. To finish of my card I stamped and heat embossed a Christmas greeting on a piece of black cardstock, cut it out and added it to my card.

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - November 2025

 Hello,

It is time for another Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, and this months we have the optional theme of -
Vintage Vibes

A theme I found a little bit tricky, but I decided to give it a go. So here are my tags with a vibe of vintage (I think).

When I hear vintage I think of browns and black, so I started by ink blending two tags I had die cut using brown Distress Oxide inks. I was only going to make one tag, but I enjoyed the ink blending so much I ended up making two of them. I splattered some water on the tags to make the ink oxides and give the background some life. I also ink blended through a stencil using the same inks.

On my first tag I added some stamping, and as I for some reason kept thinking of Mary Poppins I decided to add my very own Mary Poppins to my tag. I die cut my Mary and her umbrella for some kraft-stock blackout paper. I then sanded the image to make the kraft paper show through the black, aging/ distressing it a little. I addhered my Mary with her umbrella to the tag and added the sentiment "Live the life you have imagined" and a piece of string

My second tag was a very quick and easy tag as I had already ink blended it. The only thing I added to the tag was a few rub-ons, a flower, a small bee and a greeting. After adding a string my tag was done. Quick and easy, but beautiful I think.

I hope you like my tags, and that you head on over to Instagram and hop along with us. I wonder if everyone has gone with the optional theme, and if not, what have they come up with?

Take care and happy hopping!

AAA Birthday Card challenge # 79

 Hello,

How are you? Ready for a new birthday card challenge? Challenge #79 at AAA Birthday Card is up and running, and do we have a fun theme for you this month -

Music

I love music and it is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to creating, so it might not come as a surprise that this month's theme was chosen by me. I often get inspired by the lyrics of a song, but sometimes it's the title of a song that inspires me - like for this challenge.  For this card I was inspired by an old Billy Joel song. Can you guess the song?

Yes, that's right, Piano Man. My husband and two of our boys play the piano, so I have a few "piano men" in my life. My youngest son and his friends often gather at our house and play music together. My son is a drummer (and he plays the piano, guitar and base guitar), his girlfriend plays the piano, a few of his friends play the guitar and one plays the base guitar. They all take turn singing. Piano Man is one of their favourites to play and sing, and it has become one of my favourites too.

Do you get inspired by music?
If not you are still welcome to play along with this challenge as you don't have to be inspired by a song, as long as you follow the theme "Music" in general and create a Birthday Card you are very welcome to join us.

The AAA Birthday Card challenge blog is filled with Music themed birthday cards by the design team and our special guest desinger for this challenge, Sigrid. So if you are in need of some more inspiration, click on over and get inspired, and don't forget to spread some love while you are there!

Hope you're inspired to play along with us in this fun challenge! You have until November 30th to create, upload and link your Music themed Birthday Card to the AAA Birthday challenge blog. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Take care, keep crafting and have fun!
