AAA Colourful colour themed challenges - Colourboard #21

 Hello,

It's time for a new colourboard challenge over at AAA Colourful, and this month we have a colourboard in -

Red, Green, blue, black and white

for you to be inspired by. Rembember you may create any kind of paper craft project you want to; ATCs, cards, journaling pages, scrapbooking spreads...... and in any style too. The colours of the board must be the most prominent, but you may use neutral like; black, greys, white, browns and skin tones.

Now for my paper craft project for this challenge. The colours of the board inspired me to create a card inspired by the traditional Swedish design of "Kurbits" and "Dalahästar". "Kurbits" is a decorative artform from Dalarna, Sweden, characterized by big imaginative flowers and leaves, often found on furniture, textiles, wooden objects like the "Dalahäst". Here's my take on this months colourboard, and interpretation of "kurbits".

I hope you are inspired to play along with us in this fun and colourful challenge. You have until the 14th of November to create, upload and link you colourful paper project to the AAA Colourful challenge blog. For more information and inspiration by the fabulous design team and our special guest designer for this challenge, Karen Mead (her inspiration card is beautiful!), please visit the challenge blog. Hope you'll join us!

Take care, keep crafting and get Colourful!

Gorgeous Gift Tags IG Hop - October 2025

 Hello,

It's the fifth of the month, which means it time for a new Instagram Hop with Gorgeous Gift Tags. The optional theme for the month of October is -

Halloween

My little tag was created using paper scraps and leftovers I had lying on my desk. Yes, I know I am a messy crafter, and it is often chaos in my craftroom when I create (hence the name of this blog and my name on IG).
I had a small piece of card I had ink blended left after another project. I was going to throw it away, but remembered that I have a set of slim tag dies somewhere in my stash. I also had a cute little ghost and bat that I had stamped, die cut and coloured lying on my desk so after die cutting the tag I addhered the ghost and bat to the tag, added some ribbon and stamped a sentiment. A quick and easy little tag using scraps and leftovers. I hope you like it!

Instagram is filled with gorgeous, spooky, fabulous gift tags created by the members of the Gorgeous Gift Tags Instagram Hop, so hop on over and check out who has gone with the optional theme of Halloween and who hasn't. I know you will find something you'll like, and you might even get inspired to create some tags of your own.

See you on Instagram! Happy Hopping!

I would like to enter my tag to the following challenges:
Creative Inspirations challenge - Autumn/ Something Spooky
The Four Seasons challenge - ATG Fall with optional moodboard
The Paper Fun day challenges - #81 ATG with optional twist: Cute or Creepy

AAA Birthday Card challenge #78

Hello,
It's the first of October and time for a new birthday card challenge over at AAA Birthday Cards. This month's theme was chosen by our talented DT-member Denise, and it is a good one, and so versatile -

Ombre

I chose to ink blend the whole front of my card using different shades of pink to get the ombre effect. I wanted to get some more interest to my card so I ink blended through a stencil. I had planed to stamp and heat emboss a background before ink blending, but decided to go with a stencil instead. The words "birthday" and "wishes" were die cut out of white cardstock, and the background for the words in vellum. I addhered the words to my card, added a few clear enamel dots.

Ink colours used for this card: Distress Oxides "festive berries", "worn lipstick" and "spun suger" by Tim Holtz/ Ranger

There are so many ways you can incorporate ombre on your card. If you are looking for inspiration please head on over to the AAA Birthday Cards challenge blog, it is filled with gorgeous creations by the amazing design team and our special guest designer for the month, Karen Walker. Karen's birthday card is fabulous, and so is her take on the theme!

I hope you will join us in this fun challenge as I can't wait to see your ombre birthday card! You have until the 31st of October to create, upload and link your birthday card to the AAA Birthday Cards challenge blog.

Take care, keep crafting and have fun!
